RESCUE DIVER + EFR COURSE
This is definately THE BEST course in the PADI system of education.
This is a challenging course both physically and mentally, however the sense of achievement on completion will help build your confidence in dealing with emergencies involving others and also in your own self rescue abilities. Many divers say this is the best course they’ve ever taken.
Whats involved: Challenging and rewarding best describes the PADI Rescue Diver course. This course will expand your knowledge and experience level. Rescue Divers learn to look after themselves and also learn to recognise and deal with pre-dive stress in other divers and also deal with any in-water situations.
You'll cover:
Self-rescue and diver stress
Emergency management and equipment
Panicked diver response
In-water rescue breathing protocols
Egress (exits)
Dive accident scenarios
Emergency First Response (first aid)
The course is designed to give you the knowledge and skills to become a diver who’s prepared to deal with diver stress management, out of air emergencies, unconscious and panicked diver rescues as well as how to use specialized first aid equipment.
Prerequisites:
Minimum age 12 years old
Advanced Openwater Diver with 20 logged dives
prior to completing openwater scenarios.
However
If you are an openwater diver and wish to learn more about looking after yourself and helping others you can now sign up for the Rescue confined water sessions only (this does not result in the rescue diver certification until you have met all of the course prerequisites and Openwater scenarios )
If you wish to discuss this further or book your place, then call us on 0191 5491001.
Discounts apply on 2 or more booking at the same time.

Once all academic and confined water sessions are completed you will then do 4 Open water dives where you will carry out the skills in the Open water.

Next PADI Advanced open water
course dates
----------------------------------------------------
We are running our next PADI advanced course on the weekend of the 17th-18th April. The course consists of 5 dives, 3 elective and a deep dive and a navigation dive. After having completed this course you will be qualified to dive to a maximum depth of 30m.
The choice of elective dives is entirely up to you and can be any thing from boat diving to drysuit to night diving. This is a great way for you to build up your experience of different diving situations and techniques applicable to those dives, whilst under the supervision of an instructor.
The cost of the course is £185, if you require equipment rental for the course we can also provide this at £60 for the duration of your course (excludes drysuit). If you wish to use the school mini-bus all we ask is a small contribution towards fuel (£5-£10) dependant on the dive site.
Call us now on 0191 5491001 to book your space. |
PADI Drysuit speciality course
----------------------------------------------------
If you have decided that diving semi-dry in the UK is not for you, due to comfort levels in the water or just having to get changed at the side of the road, then why not consider the PADI drysuit speciality course?
We are running a drysuit speciality course on the weekend of 17th-18th April, venue to be decided. This course will show you how to get the best out of your drysuit for buoyancy, comfort and warmth as well as how to care, test and maintain your suit.
The cost of the course is £100.

Trip to GOZO 15th-22nd May 2010
With this years trip being a huge success we are planning a return to Gozo on the 15th May 2010. During the course of the week some members of the group managed to log upto 14 dives in the crystal clear waters of the med.
Whilst out there a few members of the group managed to complete an advanced openwater course, deep diver, wreck diver, night diver and digital underwater photography courses. For the more laid back members of the group most of the time was spent rummaging around looking for the macro stuff and just chilling out.
If you are thinking about Gozo and have never been before, but want to see some of the sites we visited then click here to see the photos.
