Centre somewhere you can pop
in and have a coffee and chill
out, and of course talk about
every diver’s favourite
subject diving.
So why learn to dive with us? At Aquanauts we make learning a fun and enjoyable experience and also centre the training around you and what best fits your needs. There are no hidden costs, the price you see is the price that you pay. Also there is no pressure or expectation for you to buy any equipment for your course as it is all provided in the cost (unless stated ), but if you do wish to buy your own equipment then we have a fully stocked shop for you to choose from.
We also provide (free of charge) all transport to and from the Pool sessions, Openwater Courses and Local dives (transport for other courses and trips to further afield dive sites may be liable to a fuel surcharge, but this is still miles cheaper than taking your own car :) ) We also believe that we are the only dive centre in the northeast to provide this service .
Also there is no additional hassle to you, having to organise car sharing and it also saves the boot of your car from getting wet. Also by providing minibus transport we are helping to reduce our carbon footprint by reducing the amount of vehicles needed to get to a dive site and also from end of may to help reduce our carbon footprint.
Once you have qualified the fun doesn't stop there, we organise trips to Sharm el Sheikh twice a year and also have regular trips away either for the day or the weekend and during April to September we also charter a boat on Wednesday evenings to dive the many wrecks that can be found off our coast, for the Wednesday night boat dives we ask that you are a minimum of an Advanced Openwater Diver.
For those who are not yet an Advanced Openwater Diver, we offer escorted local shore dives free of charge. All you have to pay for is your air and any kit you require to hire.

Discover Tech try dives.
As Sunderlands newest Technical Diving facility we are inviting you to come along to our Discover Tech try dive night on Thursday 4th June. This is an ideal opportunity for people thinking about buying twinsets or moving onto rebreathers, to try them before going out and buying them or signing up for a course. Spaces will be limited so be sure to ring and book your place before all the spaces go.

Want to learn to dive but finding enough time to fit in the academic sessions a problem? then worry no more. The new PADI elearning system is here.
What's it all about? This is exactly the same academic content that people traditionally do but is all centred around the internet making it easier for you to do the academic modules in the comfort of your own home, but also gives the added benefit of being able to contact a member of instructional staff for help or just to clarify things by email, telephone or if time allows to pop down to the dive centre. Once the academics are done you come to the dive centre where we will give a quick quiz to review the academic portion of the course and we can then start with your confined water training then move onto the openwater dives.
